22 oz bottle poured into a 22 oz stein. Got it at Malt & Vine in Redmond, WA.
Pours a golden reddish color, very slightly cloudy. Little carbonation, less than a finger head, and hardly any lacing at all. Smell is musty and alcoholic with maybe a little plum or cherry with molasses.
Taste is bitter, slightly sour, citrus and cherry, but leaves you with an impression of sweetness. Smoke and mustiness throughout.
Mouthfeel is pretty good, but fairly sticky (probably what gives the impression of sweetness).
For as strong as this beer is, it's probably dangerously drinkable.

This is good stuff. Cool color - HTML #43104 or so, transparency 95.
Minute foam that follows the beer to the bottom of the glass.
I eat barley in soup sometimes and I like it. I drink barley in beer sometimes and like it and this is one of the best beers with barley in it so far. So I really like it. You should get some.
This is strong but doesn't taste strong. Get a girl two glasses and she'll like you afterwards.
