Poured from a bomber into a snifter.
The beer pours a beautiful golden or copper color. There isn't an incredible amount of head, but it is there. It diminishes quickly however and leaves very little lace. This doesn't bode well for the beer, but things get better from here on out.
As for smell, the beer is very sweet and very pumpkin-like, much more so than any other of the style I've tried. There's a bubblegum aroma present but it's not off-putting in the least. It's very much like pumpkin pie, complete with the crust and whipped cream.
The flavor continues these trends, but there's a nuttiness to the beer and subtle allspice, both of which tastefully add to the complexity of the beer. It's really a treat to drink and I can see why people make such a fuss about this beer. There is a slight booze taste, but it really only reminds you of the potency of this beer and does not assault the palate.
Overall, the beer is smooth, creamy, complex and drinks easy. A great beer.
