As Pumpkin Ales go this one is top rung. While many people attempt the style and there are dozens of simple quaffable Pumpkin Ales out there, one a rare few in this style are truly great beer (underneath the spices and flavorings). This one stands out in the crowd.
Appearance: Served a golden copper golden color with a short lived white head and little lace.
Smell: Vanilla caramel bread graham cracker honey cardamom cinnamon nutmeg and all around pumpkin pie.
Taste: The flavors ditto the aroma and more. With pumpkin and ginger to add to the flavors formerly mentioned. Fantastic.
Mouthfeel: The alcohol should through just enough with the warm booze and spice coating the cheek... the creamy medium body is right on.
Drinkability: Down right dangerous. This beer drinks far too easily for a 9% ABV beer.
Hope this is helpful.
Serving type: on-tap
