Poured from a bottle into a snifter. It pours a clear orange/copper color and forms a 1/4 inch very light tan head that reduces to essentially no lacing. Carbonation is visible, no sediment.
The aroma is rather interesting with a uniquely pumpkin pie feel and a bit of burnt notes with some nutmeg and a uniquely sweet components.
The flavor is solid with that pumpkin sweetness and a pie like background. Nutmeg is again present and it is odd to feel like you're drinking a roasted pumpkin pie.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a light carbonation. It goes down smooth but leaves a somewhat sticky pumpkin sweetness at the finish.
Overall, this beer is not my preferred style but is a very interesting version and definitely has its redeemable qualities. In my mind, one of the better pumpkin ales available.
