Appearance: Nice amber/orange color, very clear. Decent head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Sweet, buttery, pumpkin pie, vanilla
Mouthfeel: Very little carbonation, can't see many bubbles or feel them, similar to an English Ale/ESB in terms of carbonation, but on the flat side. Feels thin and somewhat watery.
Taste: Very sweet, lots of pumpkin pie flavor, a lot of vanilla, buttery flavor. Has a good amount of bitterness which is good, because you need it to balance out all the sweetness. I don't get much spice, maybe some nutmeg, but mostly just sweet flavors and bitterness/spiceness from the hops.
Overall: I haven't had any pumpkin beers that I love yet, but this is one of the best ones I've tried of the style. It's quite sweet, but 22 oz was almost too much. One of these as a desert beer is good, but I'd only want one in a session. Nice beer for the season.
