Appearance: Golden with an orange tint. A thin ring of lacing/foam when it warms a bit. This is only average at first, but brightens up as it warms.
Smell: It actually smells like pumpkin, instead of pumpkin spices (nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, etc.) like most pumpkin ales, so I give it credit for that. There's also some sweet corn. I'd say it's pretty good compared to other pumpkin ales.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Very sweet. Tastes like pumpkin or sweet potato pie. This 'King mostly has a sweet corn/pumpkin maltiness instead of hopped spiced notes. Nutmeg does come into play in the finish, which is nice. Maybe a bit too sweet. Mouthfeel had a nice crispness when chilled, but flattens out when it warms.
Overall Drinkability: Probably my second favorite pumpkin ale after Dogfish Head.
