22 oz bottle served in a Notorious BIG pint glass
A- Pours a true orange, transparent body with a thin off-white cap that recedes to nothing. Bare minimum amounts of lacing and lots of big bubbles floating to the top.
S- Yummm. Seasonal spices and really sweet pumpkin overwhelm your nose. Some cream and caramel there too. This smells like a dessert.
T- More spice comes through in the taste than the nose. I was definately expecting something a little different here, but the taste is far from disappointing. You can almost tastes everything a real pumpkin pie has to offer, including the crust.
M- Pretty thin, which I guess isn't terrible if you're looking to drink the whole bomber. My only wish is that I had a bit more to chew on.
O- I'd like to say that this king deserves the crown that everyone wants to give it, but I'm not entirely convinced. Horseheads makes a pumpkin ale that may give this one a run for its money. I'd love to do a side by side with these two.
