Clear orange-copper body. Light whispy lacing.
Nose is awesome. warm gingerbread cookies. Vanilla, caramel, nutmeg. Bready. Pure enjoyment. I never thought a beer could ever smell this good.
Taste follows up just as good as the nose. Vanilla, nutmeg, raw pumpkin. Sweet but not cloying in the least. Enough bitterness at the end to balance the sweetness and keep things in a beer perspective.
Unbelievable beer. So easy to drink. Loved every sip of this bomber. The best pumpkin beer out there and I've had many. This blows most others out of the water.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Chimay goblet.
Appearance: Pours a translucent, bright copper color. Has a medium-sized, frothy head that dissipates slowly and leaves some decent lacing.
Smell: Wow! This might be the best smelling beer I've ever had. Definitely pumpkin and spices like all pumpkin ales, but also some toasty malts, vanilla, and a bit of nuttiness. It actually smells like a complete pumpkin pie. Intense!
Taste: Damn. The flavor lives up to the aroma in every way. Rich pumpkin and spice flavors backed by a considerable buttery, toasty malt flavor, vanilla, and nuts. It tastes like the best pumpkin pie I've ever had!
Mouthfeel: A medium-body with a smooth, creamy feel.
Overall: Sweet Jesus! How long has this beer been out? Why haven't I had this before? Why can't I drink this every day? I'm usually pretty skeptical about pumpkin ales, but, man, this is an absolutely fantastic beer. So many complex flavors come together to create a great finished product. I can't recommend this one enough.

A: Nice lacing.. Good pumpkin color (how original right?)
S: Cinnamon, clove, hint of pumpkin. Buttered popcorn.
Side note time: I had this during a tasting the other day and I gotta say this is much better out of the bottle. On tap it tasted and smelled like buttered popcorn. Out of the bottle the smell seems more in control with only a little buttered popcorn note.
T: As the smell: very "fallish" with cinnamon, clove, alspice, you know. Some decent pumpkin notes and that good ol buttered popcorn.
M: Very rich like every other southern tier beer (for better or for worse, in this case better). Goes down smooth. Nice flavor development.
Overall this is a beer from Southern Tier that I actually like! In fact, I really like it. Could it be the first 750ml bottle from ST that I can actually finish??!?!?!?!?
But seriously, this has some great tastes that compliment the pumpkin which is decently present in the taste. It has a bit buttered popcorn note which is super weird but it's there whether you like it or not!

Had it on tap then had to go out and buy a bottle. I believe it was slightly better on tap but it may because I was so surprised. "Pumpking". Is so much better than other pumpkin beers. It's very delicious like liquid pumpkin bread. The pumpkin taste is not strong. It has a beautiful orange/copper clear color. It has a very bready quality much like cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, and pumpkin pie. Most pumpkin beers you are good with just one. This one I kept drinking, then realized the alcohol was 8.6%.

On tap served in a tulip glass at Vagabond in Atlantic City, NJ.
A: A bright, transparent orange. Just a brilliant and beautiful color. One and a half fingers of white head that disappeared quickly.
S: So much vanilla. I was addicted to the smell and found myself taking a waft before every sip. Nutmeg and spices are apparent underneath all of the vanilla.
T: The vanilla is right there on the tongue. Certainly a unique spin on pumpkin beers, which usually are heavy in brown sugar and pumpkin spices.
M: A little disappointing. The flavor didn't linger much after each sip.
Overall: Excellent pumpkin beer. Not the best I've had but it's well up there and certainly going to be on my to-drink-again list.

Nice caramel notes on the nose and palate; good spice; nice and smooth; creamy kind of
May be too sweet for some people but I think it's needed in a beer like this. Best pumpkin beer I've had but I haven't had Rogue's Yet..so, so far it's my number 1.
