look: 2.5 | smell: 1.75 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 2.75

Brew is a brilliant orange, with significant (but tiny) floaties that make the beer nearly opaque in the center (at refrigerator temperature). Brew becomes nearly transparent as it warms. Head retention was very poor, and lacing was virtually nonexistent.

What is this aroma? I want to just say "stale" and wrap it up. Gourds; lots of spices (specifically nutmeg and allspice, but cinnamon starts to come through as it warms up); pumpkin? Almost more squash than pumpkin. Smells like Fall, if Fall smelled stale and artificial.

Taste is nowhere near as bad as the aroma, but it's certainly not endearing. Slightly sweet, with a dry emphasis on spices and artificial-tasting flavoring. Very little pumpkin overall. Vegetal.

Mouthfeel is quite good: it's oily and slick, with nice retention. I don't happen to like the taste of the retention, but the feel is very good.

Overall, I just don't get it. Is it a new recipe? Has it really gone downhill? Is it artificial flavoring? I really tried to like this beer, but the aroma held absolutely nothing that I wanted, and the taste was merely "Okay" at the very best.
