On tap at Coles, Buffalo NY.
A: "Creamsicle" beer with bright orange (if hazy) body and white head that held its own.
S: Fruity, piney hops pretty much punch you in the nose.
T: Absolutely delicious. A bit hoppy and fruity but effortlessly balanced. It was my first beer of the night, and I couldn't taste the alcohol, despite the ABV. Came off a bit tart on the finish, or else it would have been a 5.0.
M: Smooth and silky. Again, I was expecting to feel the alcohol but didn't.
O: I can't think of a beer this strong that is this delicious and this drinkable. Fantastic brew.

A: deep gold/pale amber ale - clear - topped with a full head of off-white foam; modest lace trails
S: muted aromas of citrus and tropical fruits; some caramel-esque sweetness
T: got some pine resin and grapefruit, toffee-sweet, earthy; not too bitter - rather moderate
M: decent carbonation, slick and smooth, medium weight, bittering close
O: decent, but didn't really catch my attention - seems like this "American strong ale" genre is rather amorphous - never know what you're gonna get - this had some DIPA characteristics, but was a little thinner in body, and even with all the hops involved, wasn't overpoweringly hoppy. An enjoyable ale, but lacking the allure to bring me back for another. Seeing as how my review is below the average, this may simply be a case of a style that, while broad, isn't (typically) to my particular tastes.
Saw two entries for this ale - hope I chose the right one.
