A - Deep dark almost black body. Thick medium brown head.
S - The nose is huge chocolate. The chocolate aroma is intense, sweet, roasty and spicy.
T - Chocolate is foremost and it's thick, rich, semi sweet chocolate. This is an imperial and the chocolate is almost in semi sweet chocolate syrup form. Not many other flavors present except some toasty pumpernickel, warming alcohol and a bitter background.
M - Thick bodied, viscious and syruppy. Its not overwhelming but you can really chew on this beer and it's great.
D - Not highly drinkable by most standards, I could still take down a bomber bottle no problem. The flavors are ricvh and intense and its high abv but would consider it more of a savoring sipper.
Notes - If you're into huge flavors and intense chocolate than you will love this one. Southern Tier is a great brewery and this one marks another fine creation.
