P: 22oz bomber from Consumer's Beverages in Buffalo, NY. Brought out of fridge to warm before opening. Poured 1/2 into St Bernardus chalice.
A: Black hole. No light passing through this guy. Trace head drops to ring with bubbles rapidly. Little bit of of lace.
S: Chocolate milk! Light roasted malt.
T: Hershey's syrup, chocolate milk, Easter bunny, and etc. No hops but trailing roast malt helps finish it off and fight cloying impression. Glad I'm drinking this for dessert!
M: soft, smooth with creamy carb.
O: Awesome. Love their CBS as a dessert beer and now this. If you like to whine about sweet beers or stouts that aren't dry and roasty, then skip. This is a 10% ABV milk shake!

This one pours a pure blackness that is dark as the darkest night with no moon or stars. There is a moderate thickness to the head that is rich and pillowy and tan that settles extremely slowly and leaves a shallow ring down the glass as opposed to lacing.
The nose is a fruity bourbon with notes of chocolate, coffee, anise, cardamon, vanilla, toast and raspberries.
The taste is very sharp and the alcohol has a definite bite that combines with the hops to attack the palate and dominate then gives way to a very complex smokey malt filled with a variety of flavors of smoke, bourbon, apples, bananas, coffee, chocolate, vanilla with a subtle peppery tinge in the finish.
The moutfeel is fairly creamy and the beer is a heavy one, especially for an American Stout.
Overall this is an exceptional stout that is very easy to enjoy. I found it went extremely well with some sushi.
