On Tap at Pepperwood Grille, Greensburg PA.
Appearance: Served in Snifter. Dark cola, with little head. Kinda flat looking.
Smell: heavy dose of bakers cocoa and dark chocolates.
Taste: Like high end chocolate, like Ghirardelli's. Hershey chocolate comes to mind as well but way much better tasting than waxy, cheap Hershey chocolates. Semi-sweet. Goes down pretty smooth and not at all cloying. Low carbonation (attests for the flat looking head). ABV is not detected at all but did feel it kick in after I finished my glass. Could I have another? Definitely! Could have 2 more, but may not get up after that.
Overall: one of the few Stouts advertised as Chocolate and this lives up to its name. Hands down best Chocolate RIS I ever had.
Serving type: on-tap
