Pours a pitch black with a nice creamy head, typical of stouts. The smell is immediately dark chocolate. Taste is heavy on the roasted malts, very heavy bordering on burnt. The chocolate is pronounced and very heavy. Mouthfeel is incredibly chewy, the high ABV is so prevalent that it almost changes the texture. Aftertaste is a bit intense due to the extremely high ABV. Drinkability is notched down just a smidge and I can't believe I'm saying this but it's mainly due to the overwhelming presence of alcohol. Still tremendously delicious though.
