Aroma: Milk chocolate, slight malt & more choclate.

Appearance: Dark blackish brown with a light brown almost tan head. Lingers for a while, but then fades to a nice ring that just won't quit.

Taste: Just a choclate bomb. Nice dessert beer. Gives a mild bitterness on the back end, but choclate is the overwhelming flavor....just like the name.

Mouth: Medium with some perfect carbonation for a stout.

Overall: A delicious beer. Perfect to share with a friend after a good meal.

Poured into HotD tulip.
Pours nicely one finger brown head. Dark brown in appearance.
Smell precedes taste with, what else? Chocolate.
The chocolate taste at first is good - I like chocolate. Taste is of real cocoa chocolate slightly burnt.
Nice.
Then I took another sip. And another.
And that was enough. Cloyingly sweet. Enough already.
This is not a beer I enjoyed after the initial couple of sips. Will save the rest to pour over vanilla ice cream.

This was a bomber poured into a small snifter.

A: 4.5 dark brown with a slight touch of red notes in the bottom
S:  4.5 sweet chocolate smell that dominates your olfactory senses and warms your soul
T: 5.0 it tastes like someone poured delicious Hershey's chocolate syrup into a pint glass and then poured a stout over it and stirred to perfection. Great taste that I welcome anytime
MF: 4.5 very full body that gives and gives it delicious chocolately body to your pallet the ENTIRE time that it is in your mouth.
O: 5.0 for delivering a beer that I have never had anything like it before in my life

Look. I like this beer. It's one of my top ten.

I consistently find Southern Tier beers to be above average, and this one is no different.

I found it full bodied, with a good, deep and complex taste experience. Start to finish, this beer lived up to its name. The chocolate was present. Colour was full and rich, as was the head. Only concern was the price point, which here in Ontario is $10. I don't mind paying for good beer, but at that price it's tough to justify more than a few.
