A- poured a dark brown with a slight brown head. Not much lacing, patchy.
S- mild sweet chocolate smell with a hint of alcohol
T-chocolate hits you right away. Just the right amount. Not to overwhelming. Eventually you will get a small alcohol taste and burn because of the higher ABV. No too much though.
M- smooth. Nice carbonation
O- a very good chocolate stout. Southern Tier does a great job with the higher ABV. This is not a beer that you have to age to be drinkable.

Finally, this one down and I have had all the BlackWater brews.

Pours a very dark chocolate brown color that is almost black. There is less than a fingers worth of tan colored head that dissipates quickly, leaving spots of lace around the glass.

Then nose nails the title just as much as the other great ST brews. Straight chocolate all around. Sweet, milk chocolate fills my nostrils with joy. It is a Nestle cocoa powder scent akin to the batter used for some chocolate brownies.

The taste is again, spot on, nailing the title. Chocolate all around in sweet, bitter, and powder form, all mixed together to create a chocolate blast. There really isn't anything else going on besides chocolate here and that is perfectly fine with me because as the title and label states, this is a chocolate beer. Sweet and rich, with a nice bitter cocoa finish.

The mouthfeel isn't motor oil thick than but still allows the flavors to flourish throughout the palate. A light amount of carbonation is suiting for this brew as it is pretty hefty.

Overall, if you are looking for a chocolate beer, this is the one for you. There is nothing subjective about it. No matter what your taste buds are like or how you drink it, this brew is straight chocolate greatness.

Bomber served in a Duvel Tulip

A - pours a jet black with dark chocolate head. Head dissipates quickly leaving a minimal lacing.

S - aroma is dark chocolate with malt. no alcohol detected in the nose.

T - holy chocolate. loads of chocolate up front, followed up with some maltiness with a finish of alcohol in the end.

M - thick, smooth, bitterness in the end

Overall, this is an excellent chocolate stout, very heavy on the chocolate, so I probably won't put this in to heavy rotation, but a great choice for a special occasion.
