Reviewed from notes. Poured from bomber into an over-sized wine glass.
A: Very dark, essentially black. Opaque with a thin tan head and no visible carbonation.
S: Dark chocolate, cacao, lactose creamy sweetness, and hints of vanilla.
T: Big chocolate flavors (dark and semi-sweet), sweet lactose, hints of coffee flavor from the roasted malt. Roasted bitterness with some chocolatey sweetness into the hang.
M: Thick sticky mouthfeel, heavy body, alcohol noticeable but it doesn't seem "hot". Low carbonation sensation.
O: It delivers what it promises - a big chocolate imperial stout. Plenty of lactose used makes it seems almost like chocolate milk. It is tasty, but maybe the sweetness is little over the top after more than just a glass. A good dessert beer.
