pouring pitch black with a dark tan had that lingers only around the edges of the class good lacing as you drink smells of chocolate bar with roast hidden behind itwith a slight toasted smell flavor is strong chocolate followed by roast and a very balanced hop bitterness the beer is very well-balanced not too sweet and the mouth feel belies the heavy malt bill and high alcohol content

A - Jet black with a think khaki head, spotted lacing left behind.

S - Smells like a Hershey's milk chocolate bar. Maybe the slightest hint of roasted malts in there as well.

T - Chocolate, chocolate, and some more milk chocolate. There's a slight alcohol sweetness on the back, as well as a little lactose, but this one is chocolate through and through.

M - Smooth, full-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Very nice.

O - One of the finest chocolate milk stouts I've ever had. Alcohol certainly has its presence in this one, but not to the point where it detracts from the experience. For being 10%, the presence is impressively mild. Awesome beer, and worth the wait it took me to find it.

Sampled from a 22oz bottle in a DFH snifter.

A – Deep black with a small tan head that dissipates quickly but leaves a nice ring around the edges.

S – Chocolate milk! Hints of vanilla and coffee with some roasted malts coming through at times. Some hop aroma seems to come out when you swirl it.

T – Follows the aroma closely. The chocolate dominates but manages to pull it off nicely. A mild sweetness gives it a real chocolate milk quality. The alcohol is well hidden. There’s a slight hop bitterness as it really warms up.

M – Creamy and smooth with a low carbonation that gives it an airy quality.

O – Not an everyday beer but very interesting and well executed.
