Poured into a snifter.

Milk chocolate-brown, thin and with the clarity of soda. A little thin-looking, with translucent burnt orange at the edges. The head is about half a finger tall, composed of silky bubbles the color of coffee and cream, and quickly recedes to a sticky ring.

An amalgamation of sugary aromas. Brown sugar, coca cola, vodka, custard, vanilla yogurt. Quite unexpected.

Leads with a blend of bitter dark chocolate, vanilla yogurt and custard. Stout notes are more noticeable when cold; creme brulee sweetness emerges when it warms. Lingering mildly bitter toast.

Body is just a touch under medium, smooth and syrupy. Carbonation is nearly absent — just a soft, spicy tingle that breaks the brew into a little silky fizz. Alcohol numbs the tongue a little.

Tasty stuff. I don’t find it as cloyingly sweet as some say — in fact, it’s fairly well-balanced. And the recreation of custard dessert flavors with nothing but vanilla and lactose is pretty impressive. Good stuff.

Poured into a Bruery snifter.
A-pours inky black with a little bit of brown hues on top. One finger head that disappears quickly. Lots of alcohol legs
S-vanilla, caramel, sweet chocolate, milk, custard. Smells like a caramel macchiato.
T- intensely sweet! Very similar to the smells. Slight bit of bitterness but overwhelming amount of creamy sweet caramel and vanilla.
M- medium light carbonation. Creamy milk stout goodness.
O- very good dessert beer but too sweet for my taste. More on the lines of a mix drink than a beer. Very unique though

This is a unique beer. It's a sweet stout that smells and tastes like you're dining on an actual crème brulee. The aroma is overwhelming with vanilla and caramel. The taste follows the nose and the mouthfeel is silky smooth and slightly viscous with low carbonation. You can skip ordering dessert and just have some of this instead. I wouldn't drink this beer after mowing the lawn, but after a fine meal, it would perfectly hit the spot.

Poured from the 22oz bottle into a large tulip.
Pours dark molasses with minimal caramel head.
Smell is insane. Sweet vanilla, caramelized sugar, roasty malts. Perfection for what ST was going for with this beer. This smells more like a creme brulee than the real thing.
Taste is amazing as well. Maybe a touch muted from the nose, but totally delicious.
Mouthfeel was a touch thin for a stout. I would have enjoyed a touch more body.
Overall, this beer is amazing. A real eye opener.
