Pours totally black, of course, with a light brown head that reduces to a ring in my glass with a bit of lacing.
The aroma is like no other beer I've smelled: Vanilla, cream, burnt sugar and alcohol. Smells like dessert. I haven't had actual creme brulee that many times, but its smell is similar.
The taste (fortunately) is not as sweet, though this is a sweet beer. But there is balance with roasted notes of coffee and chocolate and alcohol flavors to tilt it back from the vanilla and cream flavors.
Good, creamy body.
Overall this is an interesting novelty beer. The sweetness and high alcohol level make this a beer to savor. It's too sweet to be a regular drinker, though.
