A: Super dark, only a tiny amount of dark brown seen from light penetrating at the fringe. Head was a thick finger of foamy cappuccino. Fine lacing lingered nicely on the walls of my glass.
S: Absolutely matches the aroma of a dessert! The vanilla and caramel dominate, with sweet cream, chocolate, and coffee notes as well. If there's hops, I can't detect in on the nose.
T: Very sweet malt -- in anything other than a dessert beer, I'd fault it for this degree of sweetness. Oh, now there's the hops that I missed on the nose! slightly harsh and grapefruity initially, but mellowing nicely in the long, luxurious finish as bitterness mixes with caramel, vanilla, and cocoa (and maybe a little nutty flavor).
M: Moist, slightly chewy, with decent carbonation. A little too boozy as the high ABV raises it's head. A touch dry in the finish.
O: A few rough edges (especially the hops notes -- I think they could have toned them down or picked a different variety -- and the strong presence of ethanol), but overall an enjoyable brew. Next time, I think I'll share it among a group of about 4 guys, as a bottle is a bit too rich and heavy to consume alone in one sitting.

On tap at the Local Taphouse, way back in October 2012 I think. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a dark brown colour, lovely nitro head; yellowish beige nice and dense, retaining beautifully. Looks beautiful.
Fuck. Me. Holy shit that smells as good as God's favourite fried chicken restaurant kitchen. But completely unlike a fried chicken restaurant kitchen, more like caramel, toasty and sweet and vanilla custard. Notwithstanding it just smells amazingly different for a beer, it just smells fucking delicious. Holy shit.
Taste is similar. Bit of roasty malt around the edges, but loads more of that milky, custardy goodness. Yeah, caramel with slight nutty edge and some slight darker edge which needn't be there but still makes you feel like it's keeping it more grounded. Retains a bitterness on the back but for the most part, amazingly sweet desserty beer, so smooth and creamy. It's becoming a cliché in my tasting this beer but holy shit.
Smooth, velvety. Just a whisper of booze on the back. Lovely feel.
About as miraculous a dessert beer as you could dream of. Sweet, delicious, yet without being bogged down in its own self satisfaction. Slight edge to keep you drinking, as if more enticements were needed.
