Out of the bomber…
A- It’s black for all intents and purposes. Very thin ruby highlights around edges of glass when held directly to light. Finger of tan head fades quickly to a faint hint of suds on top.
S- Nose is full…vanilla, nutmeg, custard, burnt sugar, and faint maple syrup. It’s got a dough-like quality in the aroma as well. I can’t discern any alcohol here. The smell really makes you want to dive right in.
T- As expected, it is quite sweet. Reminds me of a strong vanilla cappuccino. Lots of vanilla and a pretty good bit of caramel. Taste really follows the nose. The alcohol is felt going down more than tasted. Delightful.
M- Very smooth, and the level of carbonation seems appropriate. Personally, I’d like to see it a touch thicker, but that’s a typical complaint of mine.
D- Unlike many sweeter, high alcohol beers I’ve had, this one has a finish that leaves me wanting more. I’m not much of a sweet-tooth, so it’s quite surprising how much I enjoy this beer. 12 oz. would be a better serving, as this big beer does wear on you, but I can't penalize the beer a bunch for that.

A - 3.75 - dark brown-black beer with a nice head that dissipates rather quickly and doesn't leave much lacing
S - 4 - Irish cream, milk, sugar, chocolate, coffee, huge caramel, butterscotch,
T - 4 - butterscotch, caramel, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, milk, sweet cream. Exactly what I would expect from the name.
M - 3.75 - medium-heavy mouth feel, alcohol is a little too present. Aftertaste is milky chocolate and coffee, with butterscotch
O - 3.75 - its a good beer, and is what it is. But I feel like somethings missing to push it to the 92-94 level. More complexity? The flavors are a bit cloying.

For a dessert beer this one is near the top. It's a smokey butterscotch and vanilla bean offering that masks the AC well. Drinks like a 6.5 or 7% stout. If I had to summarize the experience I would say that drinking this beer was like smoking a sweet, quality cigar that had been dipped in vanilla. Served at The Brewer's Kettle in High Point.
