Would be perfect if the high alcohol level didn't show at all...if it were a 7-8% would be PERFECT ! A tad too sweet and rich.

Interesting brew. Drinking on tap at The Bier Stein in Eugene.
A: opaque black beer, very much what I expect of a stout. Leaving minimal lacing and had a small head.
S: Smells like creme bruleè even through my stuffy nose. Very inviting, fantastically done nose, spot on.
T: my taste buds are a little out of wack as of late but this beer opens pretty generic stout flavor. A sudden wash of sticky sweet mixed with hop bitter as one would expect from a beer that smells like custard. Finishes with a lingering sweetness.
M: pretty basic, smooth stout
O: a good beer, I sure enjoyed the novelty of it. Good to share.

Nice. Couldn't imbibe a lot of these But maybe one for breakfast or dessert. Nice vanilla and chocolate bitterness on the back end.

Strong coffee notes, and the promised sweetness and vanilla. Obviously a bit on the dessert side. Good, and not just "for what it is" -- although you've definitely got to be in the right mood.

As far as imperial milk stouts go this one is without a doubt my favorite. Strong caramel and vanilla notes complement and somewhat tame the high level of sweetness. Although this is one of the sweetest milk stouts I have had, it is not overpowering as long as you only have one or two. An excellent "dessert beer." VERY hard to find in my area but well worth the search.

This beer was barely palatable to me. Very artificial tasting and very cloying.

Poured into a snifter.
A - Black like oil. Minimal head that disappears quickly.
S - Fantastic aroma! Caramel, vanilla and coffee and other sweet things I can't think of right now.
T - This may be my favorite desert beer. A sweet stout pushed over the edge with caramel and vanilla with a touch of coffee. And then you feel a bit of alcohol burn that reminds you are NOT at Starbucks or Dairy Queen.
M - Medium mouth feel, low carbonation.
O - One of my favorite beers, and certainly my favorite milk stout. I could drink this all the time.
