22oz bottle poured into a snifter. Head is 1 1/2 finger high, light tan colored, and creamier. Fades pretty quickly into some rockier bubbles that cover about half the glass and a thin film covering the other. Lacing is light to moderate. Beer's color is either super dark brown or the lightest black I've ever seen.

As many have already noted, the nose is quite insane! Tons and tons of super sweet vanilla, cream, custard, cream filled doughnuts, butterscotch candy, and hints of brown sugar all covering up the roasted malts of an imperial stout that I have to imagine are somewhere in there, but that I can't actually pick up.

In the taste I can actually pick up on the roasted malt qualities, even if they are buried under a heap of creme brulee. Lots of vanilla, custard, cream, sweetness, caramel and butterscotch, burnt brown sugar, with some lighter notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts on the back end. Light bitterness on the finish as well. Helps to balance out some of the nearly overwhelming sweetness.

The mouthfeel is not as full as I expected. Silky consistency, light-creamy carbonation, medium body, and an average length finish.

Overall, a pretty good beer in my opinion. Don't let the lighter mouthfeel fool you. This one is definitely a slow sipper because of the high sweetness and extreme taste factor. But it is very close to what the name suggests. A dessert beer for sure. I can finish an entire bomber myself, but it's really a beer that's better if you split it.

Appearance - thick, black with no head after inital pour.

Smell - smelled great as labeled. Just like creme brulee.

Taste - good flavor at first, little too sweet for me, then a bitterness follows.

Mouthfeel - too heavy almost syrupy for me, would have liked a smoother finish.

Overall - not bad a good winter beer for sitting in front of a fire to enjoy. Wouldnt drink more than one in a sitting due to the heaviness associated with the beer. Would drink again.

Pours a deep black, a thin light tan head after a vigorous pour with very little lacing.

Aroma was very sweet of vanilla, brown sugar and caramel.

Taste followed the nose and name, a liquid Creme Brulee, very sweet of vanilla, caramel, burnt brown sugar and sweet cream.

Mouth Feel was medium body, a little thin for a stout, very little carbonation, creamy and very sweet.

Overall buying a beer named Creme Brulee, I was expecting sweetness, however,it was little too over powering for my taste. Stronger coffee or bitter chocolate would have added some needed balance.

This is such a bizarre beer. The name alone would drive me NOT to taste it but we'll take one for the team here. (Note, I am generally not a fan of milk stouts)

About three oz poured into a sample glass from draft.

Pours a deep, opaque black with an offwhite head that quickly dissipates leaving spotty bubbles on top of the brew.

THE NOSE IS INSANE! So much vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malts. It's literally a punch to the senses. If the beer tastes anything like this it should be good.

Woah, what happened to the taste? Initially the taste does follow the nose but only for a second. The wonderful spice armoa from the nose is swallowed up in a bitterness that's really unpleasing. This bitterness along with the OVERWHELMING sweetness of the beer is just nausiating. There is a fair amount of lactic acid which really doesn't help the beer in the least. It's almost super sweet bile. Blech.

The mouthfeel is much thinner than I would have wanted out of a beer claiming this much flavor. Relatively moderate carbonation coupled with a too-thin mouthfeel and the ever-lingering bitterness/sweetness combo does not help this beer at all.

I've never claimed to be a fan of milk stouts and this doesn't help the cause IMO. I'd avoid this brew and take a well-rounded imperial stout over it without all the "pizazz."

Avoid.

22oz bomber into a snifter of sorts. Bottle dated 07/14/11. Pours a pitch black. Minimal head and no lacing.

The smell is really something--vanilla, custard, jello vanilla pudding, cream filled donuts. All very strong and in your face.

Taste is more of the same and then some. Char, burnt sugar, burnt malt, vanilla custard, caramel, burnt liquor, with a touch of driveway sealer.

Mouthfeel is sticky yet smooth with some long-lingering heat from the alcohol.

Overall, this was overwhelming. Recommend sharing a bomber with a minimum of 4 people. I will give it some credit as the taste of this beer was true to its name and as advertised.
