Color: pours and sits clear, slightly burnished gold. brilliant clarity
Smell: clean, mellow malt character that is overtaken by a substantial american hop character. lots of piney hops followed by a subdued bready malt character and restrained fruitiness. very clean and crisp
Taste: flavor profile is overwhelmed by prickley, piney, citrusy, and slighlty grapefruity hops which lend a moderate bitterness throughout. underneath the hop onslaught is a light malt character that is greatly overwhelmed and barely noticable. finish is slightly bready with fresh, citrusy and piney hop flavor
Mouthfeel: medium body with high-medium carbonation
Notes: big, big helles lager. hop character is very overwhelming. for a lager this really blows a lot of pale ales and IPAs out of the water. not a beer i would go to or suggest if someone was looking for a helles. i love the beer but im not going to give it as high marks as i would like to
Serving type: bottle
