Thanks a lot bobsy for sending this bottle my way.
Pours clear orange/copper color with one finger foamy off-white head. Lots of lace. Smell - hoppy, slightly bitter with some citrusy notes. Oak is definitely there, it adds some kind of sweetness and plays very well with hops. Very nice and promising aroma. Taste - whiskey-like notes noticeable at first, then hoppiness comes into play. Some fruity sweetness is there, something mango-like, as well as some grapefruity bitterness. Somewhat bitter finish. Very interesting taste. Well balanced, rich, alcohol is hidden very well. Drinkable for ABV. Very nice example of DIPA, I'd definitely recommend this one.

Holy oak taste, Batman!
Forget aged in oak. This tastes like I'm just drinking right out of the barrel. Oak, brown, tannins. That's what this beer tastes like. Also some hops and malt... but mostly just oak.
No real good aromas to speak of.
What am I drinking? Sigh. Drinkable and unique, but wouldn't have it again
