Straw colored, this one is unfiltered which excites me a bit more. The eggshell bubbly white head is on the small side despite a rambunctious pour. Retention and lace are minimal.
I get a nice noble hop aroma mixed in with some lemon and hay. All of the herbal aromas sit slightly in front of a nice warming wheat and bread backbone.
The flavor is zesty and sharp from beginning to end, yet there is a firm sweetness keeping things balanced very well. Lemon, tart oranges, and grass are the main discernible components. Sweet juicy orange and wheat tones remain through the finish.
There is pretty good body in this for a lighter beer, the viscosity is made supremely quaffable by a nice slick feel. It finishes only slightly dry, and is definitely a breeze to take down.
Overall, this is a good solid wheat beer. It's got a good bouquet of flavors including an admirable noble hop presence good for the style. Pale wheat ales aren't typically the most exciting styles, but this one is done very well and would make for an excellent session.
