A - Black pour with a high cola colored foam. Lacing is nicely rining the glass.

S - Has a pronounced chocolate and coffee smell. There is also a lingering scent of vanilla beans. A very hearty dark malt aroma.

T - Flavors of rich milk chocolate and roasted coffee bean flavor. But I was surprised by how much vanilla flavor wasin this one. Not quite the amount of ST Creme Brulee, but thew vanilla taste seemed to be the dominant flavor.

M - This is a big stout and one for those who have a sweet tooth. Very sweet finish and a thick consistency.

O - Another tasty stout from Southern Tier. I prefer Chockat a bit more than this, but this would be perfect for people who enjoy coffee ice cream.

From 22 oz. bomber poured into big snifter glass:

Pitch black in appearance, with frothy tan head, about a finger thick, slowly dissipating to half-inch. Thin, bubbly lacing on the glass. Good retention.

Powerful nose of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and some cream/vanilla. Aromas pack a punch. They are there upfront big time.

Notes of chocolate, coffee and chewy caramel dominate the tongue. Lower level of carbonation, overall a nice medium body. This is a smooth, creamy and easy drinking Imperial Stout, with a well-hidden high ABV. Goes well with dessert or after.

Recommended.

Poured into a 20 oz Duvel glass, bottled 4/12/12. Pours almost pitch black with a 3 inch tan heads, that leaves gobs of lacing on the sides of the glass. Smell is so powerful, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and some alcohol. Taste is all of that, balanced very well, a perfect combination of the nose, but alcohol is hidden well for the ABV. Body is medium large, more carbonation than normal out of a stout this size, not overly dry, and has a ton of flavor, but is still very approachable. This is very nice.

Bomber bottle poured into a Gulden Draak tulip glass.

Appearance- Black with a 2 finger head that slowly dissipates into a half finger or so with some alcohol legs and light lacing.

Smell- Lots of chocolate with some sour hop and boozy notes.

Taste- Follows the nose with lots of bakers chocolate and lots of hop balance.

Mouthfeel- Silky but still highly carbonated for a stout.

Overall- Good well balanced stout. Great dessert beer that even works well with chocolate and chocolate flavored desserts.
