Got this at De Molen in Bodegraven.
From a bottle into a snifter
APPEARANCE: Pours a one finger, medium-looking, bright, white head with good retention. Orange peel in color, perfectly clear, with zero carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a wisp and ring, leaving some clingy lacing. A splotchy wisp remains until the end and leaves some dots of lace down the glass.
SMELL: Big nose jumps out of the glass. Pale malts and touches of lemon. Lots of citrus and grapefruit hops, with some floral elements as well. Alcohol notes show through too. Big and enticing for sure.
TASTE: Pale malts and lots of citrus and grapefruit flavors. Some floral notes as well, and lots of bitter hops at the swallow. Bold but shorter citrusy, grapefruit and bitter aftertaste is in and out. Some spicy booze after the swallow as well, but this one is more about the citrus and hop flavors.
PALATE: Medium body and light on the palate. Medium carbonation, not overly creamy or smooth, but goes down fine and finishes slightly dry. Too light and not creamy enough, but not off-putting, cloying, or rough either.
OVERALL: A pretty good DIPA, with lots of citrus and hop forward flavors. Unfortunately the palate didn't really support everything that was going on; a bigger, fuller palate would give the flavors more of a platform to perform on. Other than that, however, this is a solid offering from a solid brewery. One worth checking out.

While still better than the majority of mass-produces beer, this is a representation of the style I am not fond of. It's all hops with just a bit of malt sweetness before the hops take over.
Pine-y resins of hops comes through on the pour, with a pale wheat-straw colour giving up a decent-sized head that dissipated quickly, leaving very little lacing. The taste was as I described above - you get a malty sweetness on the tongue that quickly gives way to the 4 varieties of hops used in this brew. This BA cannot taste any hidden notes of fruits. Finish is very dry & bitter, and this lingers for quite a while on the palate. Mouthfeel is decent, a little thick & with good carbonation.
Overall, not a favourite of mine.
