Bottle poured into a standard pint glass.
A: Pours a very light shade of golden yellow with a lively white head of moderate size on top. No shades of "orange" to be found.
S: Pine and grapefruit both come in on the nose, at a moderately low intensity. 4.0.
T: Taste follows the nose. Their is more pine and bitterness here than I remembered. A remarkable balance of bitterness for an East Coaster. A touch of grapefruit (and maybe even a hint of pineapple on the citrus-spectrum) is much appreciated.
It's not huge. It's not punchy. But this is honestly a pretty pleasant IPA. A tad too sweet for my liking, but not by very much at all. Still worthy of "good" marks.
M: Light at first, but finishes thick and sticky, with hop oils coating the tongue.
D: As I worked through the bottle, the sweetness became more of a problem for it. This is a good beer, but I think it falls short of being something I would want multiple of in the same sitting.
