2XIPA pours a nice lingering off-white head from the bottle. Big round bubbles of carbonation swimming though the golden body. A lighter body than most west coast DIPAs I've tried. Monstrous amounts of lacing- thick bands of head line the circumference of the glass with each indulgent sip. By the end of the beer, the glass is like a work of art.
Superb aroma full of in-your-face fruity hops, grapefruit, citrus, berries.
Extremely fresh and fruity taste. Nice creamy texture at first when you dive through the head- that just does not dissipate at any point- followed by a crisp DIPA hoppy finish. A little bit of nice fruity malt bitterness lingers slightly on the sides of the mouth after each sip to balance things out.
The 8.20% ABV is devilishly well-hidden behind the mountains of hops and multitude of fruity tones contained within this beer. Overall, a very fine beer and outstanding east coast double IPA. I could drink these all night.

While still better than the majority of mass-produces beer, this is a representation of the style I am not fond of. It's all hops with just a bit of malt sweetness before the hops take over.
Pine-y resins of hops comes through on the pour, with a pale wheat-straw colour giving up a decent-sized head that dissipated quickly, leaving very little lacing. The taste was as I described above - you get a malty sweetness on the tongue that quickly gives way to the 4 varieties of hops used in this brew. This BA cannot taste any hidden notes of fruits. Finish is very dry & bitter, and this lingers for quite a while on the palate. Mouthfeel is decent, a little thick & with good carbonation.
Overall, not a favourite of mine.
