Southern Tier 2XIPA has a medium, white head, a clear, yellow-golden appearance, a center bubble stream, and, more or less, no lacing left behind. The aroma is of strong, citrus (think grapefruit) and possibly some bread. Taste is of not-particularly-bitter citrusy hops, citrus fruit (again, grapefruit), and there is a very subtle background grain husk. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Southern Tier 2XIPA finishes dry, sweet, mildly bitter, and drinkable. One would never guess that it is an 8.2% abv ale, from the drinking. Overall, this is really interesting, and I score it as excellent.
