Poured into a Dogfish Head signature goblet.

Pours a light copper, hazy with lots of bubbles rising to make a nice thick off white head. Huge chunky lace head, settles to a finger thick. Awesome thick lace layer sticks to the sides of the glass. Nice island floats atop. Great looks here.

Smells of pungent resiny hops; grapefruit, citrus. Lots of good profiles going on. Really good nose here.

Brew is creamy smooth initially; great crisp peppery hops in the back and finish. Brew finishes slightly dry and sticky from the resiny hops. Really good sweet hops; citrus and maybe pineapple even. Nothing overwhelming though, which isnt bad by any stretch. It is a very good tasting brew with lots of flavor and great mouthfeel. Great stuff here.

This isnt an overwhelmingly hoppy brew for a double. But this is a great tasting, dangerously drinkable brew here. Great stuff.

The beer pours a light yellow with a good white head. The aroma is a bit of malt and a nice bit of hops with just a hint of floral. The tasste is light malt with a thorough covering of hops. The feel is light and dry. They did a very nice job of blending the malt and hops. You can appreciate both tastes.

A 355ml bottle with no visible BB date. Purchased from a webshop. The label mentions that it uses 4 hop varieties and 3 types of malt.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. A hazy golden-amber hue with fine sediment and light carbonation. Produces a large head of white foam that remains for a few minutes before reducing to a frothy surface layer. Aroma of aromatic hops, grainy malt and dry yeast. Slightly sweet, with notes of citrus and pine followed by a hint of alcohol.

Tastes of aromatic hops with a solid malt backbone and a dry, bitter finish. Notes of grainy malt, citrus, subtle pine and earthy, almost nutty yeast. A lingering background sweetness, with a spicy quality and an astringent bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, spicy, tingly and full-bodied - stimulates the palate. A tad undercarbonated. Pretty dry. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops and yeast.

Excellent - an intense double IPA that nonetheless displays good balance between the malt and hops. Bitter but not too bitter, with a pleasing spiciness. The individual hop flavours are indistinct but mesh nicely with the malt and yeast. The only improvement would be an increase in carbonation, which would add to the mouthfeel. Not sure if this quite adds up to twice the 'regular' IPA, but a fantastic brew that is well worth sampling.

A - Poured from a 12 oz. bottle. Straw colored, slightly cloudy with a minimal head.

S - Citrusy hops dominate the aroma. Grapefruit, orange. A hint of apple. I don't detect much pine or other hops.

T - A nice clean bitterness that doesn't overwhelm. This definitely keeps it drinkable... almost too drinkable becuase with a beer with this ABV I don't like to drink them too fast.

M - Dry but fairly smooth.Medium carbonation level.

O - This is a nice DIPA. My only "problem" with it is that one is enough to get me pretty buzzed and I really would like to drink several. It's hard to stop after having just one.

Poured from a one month old bottle, chilled but not cold. Poured a rich, complex brown. Nice, deep tan head with good retention and moderate lacing.

Smell is very nice. Hoppy, grainy, malty, and a hint of alcohol.

Exceptiotional taste. Earthy, malt, smoke, and woody flavors up front. Excellent hoppy overtones throughout. Faintly sharp alcohol presence. Ends in a smoked rye flavor.

Very good mouthfeel. Thick, rich and lightly carbonated leaving a light coating on the mouth.

The consumate IPA. For anyone who is a fan of IPA as I am, it will be very tough to match. The flavors, boldness, and look are definition for the genre.
