1 pt. 6 oz. brown bottle
Southern Tier Farmer’s Tan Imperial Pale Lager poured an orange gold color producing a minimal white head. The nose was floral; dominated by citrus, lemon and pine hops. The taste begins as the nose detected lemon, pine and citrus hops with a little malt in the background. The finish provided more lemon, and piney hops with a hint of spicy notes from the alcohol and lingering bitterness. Mouth feel is a little sticky but dry, with light alcohol heat.
Not being a hop head Farmer’s Tan Imperial Lager was a little too hop forward for me. If hops are your “thing” this American Double/Imperial Pilsner is for you.
