Bottle: a nice 355mL brown bottle with a decent label - a nice package.
Appearance: pours an extremely dark brown tending towards black, with rudy-brown highlights around the edges. A half-finger creamy tan head hangs about for quite a time before dropping to a solid and rocky cap. Looks great.
Aroma: a fairly demure nose of roast coffee, creamy milk and a touch of bittering cocoa.
Taste: plenty of roast coffee and sweet milk flavours, bittering cocoa behind. Not as sweet as the nose but still quite smooth.
Aftertaste: still some milk sweetness with hop and cocoa bitterness. A great stout.
Mouth feel: very smooth with a bit of bite, moderate in body with lower carbonation.
Overall: this is the first beer I have had from Southern Tier Brewing, and they haven't disappointed. A fine stout, well worth it when I can afford (not cheap in Aus).

Served on nitro tap at Farmhouse in Burlington.
Serves up soooo nice looking, jet black body with half a finger of thick creamy khaki head.
Not a high volume of aromas, but it was rich and roasty, good sweetness.
Taste was delicious touch on the thin side.
Mouthfeel was silky, velvety a touch thin.
Overall, a lot to like with this beer.
