A- Pours a very dark brown, almost black. About a 1-1.5 finger head, light brown. Fades fairly quickly. Slight lacing around the edges.

S- Typical stout smell- malts, chocolate, and slight coffee smell. Definitely smell a little bit of the alcohol, but not too boozey.

T- Slight chocolate/milk taste, roasted malts apparent.

M- Pretty smooth and drinkable throughout. Not too heavy for a stout.

O- Not quite as sweet as a lot of stouts that I've had. Nowhere near as sweet as the Southern Tier Creme Brulee. Overall not bad, would consider drinking again but definitely not my favorite milk stout that I've had.

a. dark brown/ black on the pour. Careful, the head sneaks up on you. Starts near nothing, but blossoms to a full 3 finger height. Head is tan/brown in color and sits on top the beer for a while at roughly 1/3" Lacing is nice.

s. Smell of yeast dominates the after poor, giving way to malt.

t. Malt, not as sweet as I had hoped, but somewhere between outstanding and very, very good. Rounded up to a 4.

m. Excellent up front, but seems to be a grit in the finish.

O. Reminds me of a Sam Adams cream stout, which is a compliment. Not as creamy, but a solid stout. Do not be scared off by the 'sweet' title.

Pours black, just about opaque. The hops and grains unexpectedly dominate the smell, though the typical chocolate stout scent is found just beneath. The semi-sweet chocolate becomes the most obvious to taste, with a grainy, bitter hops lingering in the finish. It has a very light mouth feel, with an appropriate amount of carbonation. A decent stout, however there is nothing that makes it stand out in stand out in a crowd.

Excellent milk stout, great dark color with noticeable head even without an aggressive pour, head is dark and lingers well with a strong lace as the glass empties. This is a milk stout and if that's what you're after it will not disappoint. ABV is 7% so I found it very drinkable. Nice creamy vanilla overtones but the maltiness (roastiness) is a slow to arrive. Wonderful mouth feel - well balanced.
