Served on nitro tap at Farmhouse in Burlington.
Serves up soooo nice looking, jet black body with half a finger of thick creamy khaki head.
Not a high volume of aromas, but it was rich and roasty, good sweetness.
Taste was delicious touch on the thin side.
Mouthfeel was silky, velvety a touch thin.
Overall, a lot to like with this beer.

Serving type: nitro-tap

This beer is a staple in my house... my wife is head over heels for it. Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into my snifter. Pitch black body with a very minimal brownish head that was gone in an instant. Def. what a stout should look like in my opinion. Smelled of cocoa, molasses, a hint of coffee coming thorough from the dark malts (with a bit of agitation). Very coffee-forward taste (which might explain my wife's obsession), and some nice deep dark malts. Just enough bitterness to offset. Rich and creamy mouthfeel, and low level of carbonation that kept it from being to viscous. Very excited that I will be able to grab one of these out of the fridge every once in a while when she isn't looking. Nice stout.
