(Served in a snifter)
A- This beer pours an obsidian black body with a think tan head that fades to a ring soon after the pour.

S- The mellow roasted black malt has a nougat lactose sugar smell in the finish.

T- The chocolate malt has a slight cream flavor to it with a full medium roasted black malt flavor with some graham finish and a touch of char bitterness.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a creamy fizz in the finish with no alcohol heat noticed.

O- This beer has a mellow but nice roasted black malt flavor but the lactose sugar taste is a bit too strong for the rest of the flavors.

Bottle into stout glass

Appearance- Jet black, 1 finger head

Aroma- Coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate, slight piney hops

Flavor- Very big on the roasted malt, coffee flavors, dark chocolate, its on the sweet side but not by much. Very smooth, velvet, a slight lingering astringency, slight alcohol

Mouthfeel- Medium to medium-full, moderate carbonation, slight alcohol warmth

Overall- A very nice double take on the style. Its a little bit to astringent from the roasted malt which cuts into to the sweetness. But a very nice beer that I've returned to a few times.

Sultry, silky, velvety, and in the end- simply lush, the "Nitro" taste, texture and appearance of this Milk Stout mimics the character of milkshake with pin-point precision. Its an absolute delight of a Stout.

Common to Guinness, the black ale pours with a thick and creamy appearance as the nitro-infusion lumbers to separate from the body of the beer- creating the charming "cascade" effect to mesmerize the eye. Once settled, the dense and creamy head tops the beer like mousse to cap a malty milkshake.

Mild roast, chocolate, heavy whipping cream and walnut aromas fight to garner attention through the thick barrier of foam. Slightly woodsy and smoky- the aromas are overall light. But to taste, the medium roast coffee and bittersweet chocolate open up for a savory and decadent set of flavors. Developing into a moderate wood and walnut bitterness in finish, the ale crispens up considerably to close.

Medium-full in weight, the creaminess of hot cocoa and marshmallow cream gives impressions of added weight. But as the nitrogen quickly dissipates, it leaves behind a light bodied and somewhat watering feel. Yet, the ale offers no astringency or harshness- only mild alcohol warmth that's seductive and unexpected.

The Stout hides its strength and power well. The senses are easily seduced by the nitro infusion. Yet it mutes aromas and offers some give-and-take in the mouthfeel department.
