Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a TBBC pint glass.
A: Pours a clear, deep brown with some reddish highlight. Forms a thin tan head on top of relatively low visible carbonation.
S: Spiciness, I get primarily ginger, fruity sweetness, and some citrus aroma. I'm not sure if this was the orange peels that the bottle says it was brewed with or not. It struck me as more lemon or grapefruit. The overall impression on the nose is certainly sweet.
T: Flavors are overwhelmed by ginger, allspice, cinnamon. There's probably some sweet malt, and I'd hypothesize some hops, but who can tell in this mess. Finishes sickly sweet.
M: Medium body, low carbonation sensation, mild alcohol presence.
O: Not good. Kinda like drinking beer that someone had poured potpourri into. Poured the last of it down the drain.
