I'm leaving my original review below. This bottle gave me a very different experience. First, the head was tight, receded lumpy and left chunky lace on the glass. Second, the body was markedly improved--far more rich and creamy. I've raised the score to reflect this experience.
Large-bubbled, quickly receding head. It does leave some spots on the glass. Mild haze to the otherwise clear, rich golden color.
Plenty of evergreen and fresh-crushed hop pellet aroma. Reminds me of a homebrew shop.
Tastes like a pale ale from the tap of the local brew pub...That is to say this seems extraordinarily fresh for a bottled beer. The taste is better balanced with a typical pale malt start and a stronger bitter finish with a decently lasting aftertaste. The body is very thin and the carbonation elevated--closest I've had to a seltzer-textured beer in a very long time.
This is a mixed bag. On the debit side is the body and appearance, but the flavor and smell are appealing.

Poured into a nonic a clear lighter dull golden with a fluffy, sticky one finger white crown atop, the bottle says to decant into a glass,I saw no need.Aromas of grassy/herbal hops over top of nutty malt, not real big but pleasant nose wise.Herbal notes along with a tinge of red onion on the palate,a little tea and mint is noticable,a firm lightly sweet nutty biscuit base holds up to the hops. This a nice APA not gigantic hops but a minty herbal approach that makes it really drinkable, the maltiness is big enough for non hopheads to like this beer as well.Nice job here.
