Poured into a nonic a clear lighter dull golden with a fluffy, sticky one finger white crown atop, the bottle says to decant into a glass,I saw no need.Aromas of grassy/herbal hops over top of nutty malt, not real big but pleasant nose wise.Herbal notes along with a tinge of red onion on the palate,a little tea and mint is noticable,a firm lightly sweet nutty biscuit base holds up to the hops. This a nice APA not gigantic hops but a minty herbal approach that makes it really drinkable, the maltiness is big enough for non hopheads to like this beer as well.Nice job here.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.

A-hazy, golden in color. Thick suds initially, dissipating to fine bubbles over 30-60 seconds.

S-Grassy, citrus hops with a biscuit and honey malt presence.

T-True to smell with some hop spice later in the finish. Nicely balanced.

M-Nicely carbonated to be a medium-bodied, easy drinker.

O-Pleasantly surprised by this one. I've been underwhelmed by this brewer previously. I wouldn't buy a six of it while considering my other options. However, handed one or available in pint form at a bar would consistently make me happy.

A: All Souther Tier beers look and lace great. This one hazy gold, topped by yeasty, bottle conditioned, pin-point head that lasts and laces. Sticky. Steady stream of pin point bubbles rise.
S: Subtle, staying power, almost Euro, very yeasty, citrus, fresh.
T: An easy drinker, I'd definitely session this. Next to IPAs and DIPAs I keep reaching for the LIVE! Finely balanced, lots of staying power, gets better as it warms.
MF: Refreshing, keeps you coming back for more, med-bodied, great upbeat finish.

Served at fridge temp in a tulip glass.

Appearance: Clear and golden. This is a bottle conditioned ale so there is a ring of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. I had this beer pretty cold and decanted into a glass carefully as not to disturb the sediment. Medium head of smaller bubbles that dissipated quickly to a ring of lace in the glass.

Nose: Citrusy and floral hops up front with a very slight malty note.

Taste: Refreshing and bubbly, strong resinous hops, more in the West Coast style of APAs. The hops are really the only dominant notes present here.

This seems to be more like an IPA Lite rather than an APA. The bottle conditioning is the best part here because it adds such a wonderful mouthfeel with the added carbonation. Tone down the hops and you might be able to find a pale ale in there.
