A- pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a big bubbly and foamy head that retains long after the pour, leaving a bit of lace behind

S- Big grapefruit notes from the beginning with aromas of fresh squeezed juice, also some sweet floral notes with some candy-like sweetness, this beer just reeks of summer

T- grapefruit flavors follow the aromas up front, but not overbearing at all. Some grassy notes mid-palate with some floral and fruity esters, light earthy musk flavor from the yeast leads to more citrus hop and finishes with a toasted malt finish to balance it out

M- medium bodied with medium carbonation leads to a big and foamy mouthfeel that feels the mouth, the yeast definitely added some extra bubbles to the mouthfeel. The finish is crisp and refreshing

O- a well balanced APA with plenty of flavor, but very easy to drink. Great session beer and one that I would gladly try again

Serving type: 12-oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass.

A: Hazy gold, one-finger head that doesn't last long, nice lacing. A slightly more aggressive pour will get you a two-finger head (that still doesn't last long), but overdo it and you'll have a glass of froth.

S: Not strong (though a bit stronger with a more aggressive pour). Maybe some citrus and pine.

T: Clear and crisp, very light and refreshing. Hops not too forward but definitely there; citrus and pine, as in the nose, plus some resin and maybe a little grapefruit rind.

M: Light and well-carbonated.

O: A fine example of an American pale ale, one I think I like even better than Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. A very refreshing cool drink on a hot summer day, the overall experience being somewhat like drinking a carbonated juice -- pear, perhaps, even though it doesn't *taste* at all like pear. It says something about this beer that not only I but both my parents like it; we have very disparate tastes in beer.

There is not much I can say other than this was a phenomenal beverage. Went great with the homemade smoked ribs and beans/w pulled pork. Great smell. The aroma took off as soon as the contents were poured into a pint glass. The full body finish made my brain think I was drinking something slightly hit with vanilla. I truly enjoyed this beer. Definitely recommend.
