Appearance - Golden yellow with a nice white head and lacing. It could be a bit darker.
Smell - Good fruit and citrus aroma, not very strong but still there. I wish it was a little stronger.
Taste - Too light in body and I feel like there isn't enough malt, weak tasting. However nice fruity citrus flavor, very good not overpowering, just enough. Not much malt to speak of, very hop dominated which is sort of okay!

From 07/08/13 notes. Had this on tap at Ginger Man in NYC. 16 oz pour in a tulip.

a - Pours a hazy, burnt orange-golden color with one inch of off white head and low carbonation evident.

s - Smells of tropical fruits, fruity malts, mango, pineapple, citrus, lemon-lime, wheat, and bready malts. Awesome nose, tons of tropical fruits to it and some light citrus. Really liking the nose.

t - Tastes of fruity malts, light tropical fruits, citrus hops, grapefruit, wheat, grains, and lemon zest. Nice, but seems a bit watered down compared to the great nose. More citrus and grapefruit than the nose, but less mango and tropical fruits.

m - Medium body and low carbonation. Body is very smooth and easy to drink. Great mouthfeel.

o - Overall I liked this one quite a bit. i thought the nose was awesome with tons of tropical fruits, and the mouthfeel was great; smooth, creamy, and easy to drink. Taste was not as strong, though it is good, with less tropical fruits. Worth checking out and something I'd definitely have again.

A: a hazy orange with a large white head packed tightly with little bubbles.

S:tangerine, pineapple, orange rind bitterness cut by caramel and pine. Lots of pine shining through as this bad boy warms up.

T: loads of citrus up front. Lemon, bitter lemon skin, juicy orange, and a little white grapefruit. A breast and malt driven middle gives way to a bitter finish with pine and (surprise) even more acidic citrus. Full of earth.

M: a nice amount of carbonation really brings the flavor to your taste buds.finishes quickly.

O: very sessionable with a ton of flavor. The carbonation and citrus kill it. A must drink. /90

LIVE pours a cloudy straw color, with a touch of light orange. There is a small cap of white froth over top, with a few lines of small, slow-moving bubbles rising to the surface. There's a decent amount of lacing for such a small head, however. I will be generous with the score for its looks because I just love that color!

The smells entering my nose are warm, and complex. I am picking up lots of grains, freshly cut grass, summertime dew, nuts, pine needles, and a subtle hint of citrus fruit aromas. Wow, after tasting this is much more multi-faceted than even the aroma alludes to! Initially, there's tart apple and berries, with a sharp, flowery climax, and then...the toasty, slightly buttery grains in the middle. A very pleasant bitterness washes over the palate in the ending of the flavor.

The body is medium and rather quaff-able. The beer coats the palate rather nicely, and definitely leaves the drinker wanting more after each sip. I'm loving what they did with this 'bottle conditioned pale ale, with 4 types of malts & 4 types of hops.' Complexity wins me over every time as long as it's not too bizarre. This gets my high recommendation - try it without hesitation!
