Southern Tier IPA is a beer that is highly regarded among beer enthusiasts, and for good reason. This is another example of an exemplary American IPA that excels in many different areas.
It looks good. An attractive amber colour with a quickly receding head and nice lacing all the way to the bottom of the glass. There is plenty to enjoy smell-wise.. lots of fruit, sweet but not overpowering thanks to the evident dosage hops, and malts. The taste is jam-packed with flavour.. caramel cream malts, fruit and a perfectly balanced pine hoppiness in the finish. It's a hoppy beer for sure but one that's done right.
If you're a fan of IPAs this a must have on your list and in your fridge. Drink up while it lasts!
