Our IPA is timeless - brewed for those who give a damn about a well-crafted beer. As one of our original beers, its quality and consistency helped grow the popularity of IPAs from the ground up. The citrus and pine hop profile balanced by a subtle caramel sweetness are standard for a classic American IPA.

Served in nonic/

Look (3.5/5) - This one pours a rich caramel-gold colour. About two fingers of fluffy head with fairly good stand and good lacing rises from the pour. Clarity is pretty poor, I'd call it hazy.

Smell (3.5/5) - The nose is pretty well dominated by hops; resin and grapefruit stand. Some light breadcrust and biscuit malts. A hint of peppery spice on the finish.

Flavour (4/5) - Very similar to the nose. The malts taste a touch lighter than in many IPAs and APAs (again breadcrust and biscuit). Grapefruit is a bit more prominent on the palate and a bit of pine compliments the resin here as well. A bitter finish lasts for a while and is complimented quite nicely by the peppery flavours.

Feel (3.5/4) - Medium-light body that has some medium carbonation. A slight hint of oily, mouth-coating texture on the finish goes well with the flavours at play.

Drink (3.5/4) - Quite smooth and drinkable. Nice flavours. Like a lighter malt American IPA. Offers some nice new world hops.

This is one of those older generation IPAs that I remember enjoying (circa mid-2000s), but revisiting it for a review in 2023 and it just doesn’t cut it. Perhaps fresh it would pop, and give more of that classic IPA taste.

The beer looks nice. Pretty amber color, 2 inch off-white head, some lace.
Aroma of citrus and pine.
Weak grapefruit taste; the pine has disappeared.
Not very hoppy or bitter.

Best by 11/23/23, drank out of the can at an outdoor concert. Could be the conditions, but no real smell, tastes metallic, neither fruity or piney, more piney toward the end of the can I guess, just ho hum. Not terrible, not memorable, lol at leassr the big band swing jazz is fire!

A- rich amber. Good Two finger head. Just swell

S- pine, a bit of smokiness? Bacon, buttery malt, grass! Subtle but good

T- biscuity malt hits first, not good for the style but not bad overall. Butter, oily hop bitterness, some boozy notes. Gets better as you drink it, not typical of the style but a solid, solid beer

M- pops and sparkles with a fantastic aftertaste

O- not a great example of the style, but on its own as a beer it’s really good and underrated.
