12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.
Amazing lace on the glass, head does a great job. Hazed dull golden hue. Orangey, minty, piney, mild grapefruit rind and mild tobacco show what the hops are about in the nose ... hint of malt and alcohol in there as well. Enjoyable smoothness, semi-chewy medium body. Ample hop bitterness does not go overboard but holds firm, orange peel, mint, pine, pipe tobacco, pithy and herbal ... good hoppiness all around. Toasted bread and a hint of caramel on the palate with some clean fruity esters. Finishes warm with a long linger hoppiness.
This is a big IPA, bordering Impy IPAs but we are splitting hairs here ... a hop heads treat here. I need to frequent this beer more often.
