This is the standard version of Åbro Original, it's color is golden and clear. On the back label it says, "Pour it vigorously towards the bottom of the glass to create a huge head, then slowly pour the rest in to fill the glass." Naturally this created a big foamy head, it didn't stick around for long at all but left a little lacing on top.
The smells is rather pleasant. Fresh, hoppy with a tone of citrus. This version aint as bitter as the 7.3%, neither is it as sweet, but I can still taste a bit of sweetness in it. Very hoppy taste overall. The mouthfeel isn't that good imho it feels a little watery and the carbonation is between medium to small.

Light, watery and edgy flavour, but with some bitterness that gave it a bit of length (which was not altogether pleasant, but not bad either). drinkable, but again, nothing to write home about, another boring Swedish lager in the end, nothing particularly special.

Pours a dull looking beer, all clear with no foam or lacing and quite some carbonation.
Smell is malt and malt. Just weak and dull.
Taste is also malt, somewhat bitter and dry, with something undefinable in there as well. Carbonation really makes this an unpleasant beer, unless its ice cold.
I occasionally order this on bars, if my money start to go downhill. This is a dull beer thats only drinkable when its very cold. I always seem to leave the last of the glass if i take more than 20 minutes on me to finish this.

I am confused: Åbro Original is supposed to be a worthless beer, the beer that most of the greasy spoon joints are selling for cheaply to the lowlifes And I liked it! Maybe the on-tap beer is not as good as the bottled variant?
Anyway, the colour is yellow and the white head is two fingers thick and quite firm
The fresh smell is somewhat sweet with notes of honey and corn; there are also notes of aroma hops.
The taste is smooth and pleasant with a good body from the fairly sweet malt. There are notes of beagles (the bread). The aftertaste got a touch of alcohol and a delicate bitterness and some hoppyness.
The carbonation is just at the right level (with small bubbles) for a pale lager, giving the beer a refreshing mouth feel.
I am a bit surprised, but there you go!

500ml bottle from Donnybrook Fair-they had it listed as a Czech beer. Decent pour and color with nice smell-not too much of a head and it went away fairly quick. Some sweet hoppiness, but nothing to remarkable really about the taste. Very light overall-suprised that it has 5.2% alcohol. I would drink another to try it again-but probably wont be buying it in large quantities anytime soon.
