A: hazy; deep gold in color; 1 finger ivory head that receded slowly to a wispy cap; very little lacing;
S: grainy; cracker; apple; spicy; a little boozy;
T: light malt sweetness up front; pretty boozy from mid-palate to the finish; moderate bitterness that lasts a long time;
M: medium bodied; highly carbonated;
O: a little surprised at the haziness; booziness detracted from what is a nicely flavored style;

Beautiful beer; aroma is spot on for an American pils (slightly flowery hops and earthy, sweet malts).
Flavor is a touch aggressive; while the traditional pils flavor is present, the high ABV provides a punch that, while as advertised (an Imperial Pilsner), is still unexpected and a touch unwelcome.
Thickly malty and cloying, expected at this ABV.
Certainly not a bad experiment, but not a beer I think I would revisit.

On tap at Outer Light. Pours a very cloudy brownish orange with very little head. No lacing. The aroma is slightly sour with some citrus hops. Candied fruit as well. The taste is citrus and floral hops right off the bat followed by some Pilsner malts. Grassy towards the end with a citrus peel finish. Very little carbonation with a bit of a thick mouthfeel. Mild alcohol warmth. Overall, pretty solid Imperial Pilsner I'll be gabbing again.

Poured from a growler to pint glass, 24hrs from fill to pour.
Eye catching dark amber appearance, fine lacing foam that fades in about 90 seconds.
Citrus/pin
Citrus start, pepper finish
Wild guess is the ABV is bout 8-9, but as of this writing there is no written value from the brewery.
Tried this earlier in the week on sampler of 4 of their beers, this was placed 1st, but it seems a little strong to be the 1st. My son went back for their grand-opening party and I remembered this beer so fondly I had him pick me up a growler. Glad I did.
