Thanks to skinnyelvis for the chance to try this offering.
A: Pours a jolly roger jet black color with a one and a half mocha toffee cappuccino colored head. Excellent retention all around with a lot of sticky lacing.
S: Coffee and nestle chocolate syrup aromas. Robust roasted malt. Hints of dark fruit. Coffee and chocolate become more bold as it warms.
T/M: Bitter coffee flavors. Unsweetened chocolate with a hint of tangy fruit--almost like chocolate covered raspberries. Dark fruit notes are quite apparent. Leafy hop bitterness on the tongue in the finish with a roasted malt aftertaste. Smooth with the perfect level of carbonation.
D: Silky smooth and surprisingly easy drinking. Higher abv is completely hidden. Quite enjoyable to sip on.

Pours opaque black with cola edges. The 1/2 inch tan head settles to a thin ring on top and leaves spots of lace.
The smell is of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, coffee grounds and a hint of vanilla.
The taste is of black coffee, dark chocolate, faint dark fruit and vanilla.
The texture is heavy with medium carbonation.
Drake's isn't trying to reinvent the wheel with this one. What they have done is offer up a fairly standard but, solid imperial stout.

Poured on tap.
A: very dark with about 3 fingers of brown head, looks like the head is from some whipped up chocolate milk.
S: rich chocolate, faint caramel, sweet.
T: moderately sweet, this beer has strong chocolate with burnt caramel to it. The nearly 9% alcohol is non-existent.
M: thick and rich. It is not syrupy, but lightly coats the mouth. Despite good sized head, low carbonation in the mouth.
O: I would love to try this barrel aged. I think it has the right flavors and feel to really become a barrel aged dessert beer. Until then, this may become my go to non aged stout.
