poured from a bomber into my arrogant bastard pint glass. It pours well, super thick and motor oil black topped with a creamy mocha brown head.
The smell is intensely chocolatey, like sweet milk chocolate with no bitterness to it at all. The roasted malts also add a tad of coffee scent which only heightens the allure of this brew for me.
The taste follows quite will from the nose. It's got a strong dominant chocolate input as well as a tad of coffee. The effect is almost like a mocha with a ton of extra chocolate in there.
The mouthfeel is very telling of an imperial stout, the heaps of malt thrown in this guy give a creamy, rich, thick brew that slides down your throat with ease, seriously goes down way smooth.
Give this beer to anyone who loves chocolate, and even if they say they don't like beer they have gotta like this one.

Pours opaque black with cola edges. The 1/2 inch tan head settles to a thin ring on top and leaves spots of lace.
The smell is of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, coffee grounds and a hint of vanilla.
The taste is of black coffee, dark chocolate, faint dark fruit and vanilla.
The texture is heavy with medium carbonation.
Drake's isn't trying to reinvent the wheel with this one. What they have done is offer up a fairly standard but, solid imperial stout.

Poured on tap.
A: very dark with about 3 fingers of brown head, looks like the head is from some whipped up chocolate milk.
S: rich chocolate, faint caramel, sweet.
T: moderately sweet, this beer has strong chocolate with burnt caramel to it. The nearly 9% alcohol is non-existent.
M: thick and rich. It is not syrupy, but lightly coats the mouth. Despite good sized head, low carbonation in the mouth.
O: I would love to try this barrel aged. I think it has the right flavors and feel to really become a barrel aged dessert beer. Until then, this may become my go to non aged stout.
